Why Can´t Conventional Fixatives Stabilize Dentures Satisfactorily?

• Conventional denture fixatives work by thickening saliva to improve suction between the denture and gum. The dentures hold only by suction. Being water-soluble, these fixatives dissolve, are rinsed into the stomach and lose their effectiveness within time.
