Yes. Partial dentures are fixed onto natural teeth with clamps. fittydent Denture Adhesive can be used to avoid food particle from getting trapped underneath the partial denture.

fittydent Denture Adhesive is worldwide the only water proof denture adhesive. fittydent must be applied on a clean and completely dry denture. It has higher viscosity than conventional adhesives due to its unique composition, thus only a small amount is needed. One application holds a whole day long. fittydent does not need to be applied as often as conventional adhesives, since it is non water-soluble.

Yes. fittydent Denture Adhesive can be applied on soft lined dentures.

fittydent Denture Adhesive has been sold for more than 3 decades around the world. No serious allergic reaction has been reported.

However, people can be allergic to any kind of food, therefore allergic reaction can not be completely ruled out.

It is recommended to apply fittydent super Denture Adhesive Cream on soft lined dentures instead of fittydent super Denture Adhesive Cushions.

Well soft lined dentures fit gum well again. fittydent super Denture Adhesive Cream gives lower dentures a secure and strong hold. Application of fittydent super Denture Adhesive Cushions on a lower denture can cause a little vertical increase of occlusion.

fittydent super Denture Adhesive Cushions have been sold around the world for about more than 3 decades. Up to now no serious allergic reaction has been reported.

However, people can be allergic to any kind of food, therefore allergic reaction can not completely be ruled out. Allergic reactions can lead to a burning feeling.

Zinc is harmless to be ingested in small amount, but it can be dangerous if taken in excess. Zinc overdose can lead to health detriments.

A clinical study conducted at the University of Texas, published in the journal Neurology, reported on patients who suffered from zinc poisoning, neuropathy and other neurological disorders associated with long-term use of denture adhesives which contain zinc.

We recommend users of any denture cleansing tablets to use a denture bath instead of a glass to clean their dentures. By using a denture bath users can avoid drinking by mistake the tablet solution after the denture is taken out the solution. In any way it is a good place to bose the orthodontics in any area.

Every now and then, dentists are confronted with dentures whose surface or colour has changed. This transformation is often blamed on chemical cleansers used to clean the dentures. However, one must remember that there are many additional factors which can also cause these changes to dentures. For example:

  • Unsatisfactory polymerisation of the denture material
  • A particularly aggressive mouth environment – especially in patients with illnesses of the digestive system (endogenous causes)
  • Attack by bacteria – can tend to loosen up the molecular structure
  • Taking of medication on a regular basis
  • Frequent imbibing of hard liquor
  • Brushing dentures with a toothpaste which retains chloroform

In extreme cases, dentists are presented with corroded, raw and brittle – almost worn out – dentures. Over time, with faulty polymerisation, corrosion can occasionally occur. Water seepage in the structure of the material, discoloration from changing refractions of light, or loss of transparency can also result. In recent years, improved quality of denture materials has meant the described changes seldom occur, or are seen only infrequently compared to earlier use – even though the use of chemical cleansers has grown. The increase of use of chemical cleansers is not only the number of users, but the frequency of regular use. These findings, as well as those from dental practices, justify the conclusion that chemical cleansers can not be blamed for changes in dental materials. Rigorously controlled tests regularly conducted by manufacturers of dental cleansers have also yielded the same results as the microscopic findings in dental practices.

No, fittydent Denture Adhesive is absolutely free of gluten.

Those denture wearers who have flat and/or narrow lower jaw need to use fittydent super Denture Adhesive Cushions instead of fittydent Denture Adhesive. fittydent super Denture Adhesive Cushions guarantee a secure hold even in these difficult cases. The cushions are water proof, therefore they are also effective for patients with excessive saliva. The fittydent super Denture Adhesive Cushions are not suitable for upper jaws. Because of the bigger surface we cannot guarantee to avoid leftovers under/between the dentures in the upper area.

To clean hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you to leave the denture in the cleansing liquid overnight or to clean them with pure alcohol (96%).

fittydent Denture Adhesive has been proven effective in clinical studies conducted in Europe and the United States. In all studies, fittydent was rated the best denture adhesive in the overall evaluation, and was overwhelmingly preferred by denture wearers. Test results confirm that fittydent Denture Adhesive improves chewing ability and denture retention.

Normally, there is no need to remove the denture earlier, since no food particles get trapped underneath. However, in specific cases – like accidents – the denture can be removed by little force. It will be painless and will cause no negative effects, but residues of the adhesive might be left on the gum. These residues are not harmful and will come off by themselves after a few hours or rinse your mouth with warm water. Under no circumstances should denture cleansers or other removal methods be used to clean the gum. Do not gargle or rinse your mouth with Cleansing Tablet solution.

To remove all non water-soluble residues of fittydent Denture Adhesive and fittydent super Denture Adhesive Cushions, fittydent super Cleansing Tablets are required. fittydent super Cleansing Tablets meet the requirements to clean the denture. If the non water-soluble residues are not removed for a certain period of time, they might become hard. Please use fittydent super Cleansing Tablets every day to clean the residues of the fittydent Denture Adhesive and fittydent super Denture Adhesive Cushions.

Its shelf life is 4 years from the date of production.

If you use the fittydent super Cleansing Tablets on a daily basis, the dentures will be sufficiently cleaned in five minutes. If some residues are still found on dentures, brush them away under very warm water.

It depends on the size of the denture and the amount of adhesive which is spread over the denture. On average, a 40 gram (1,4 oz) tube of fittydent Denture Adhesive will last about four weeks.

fittydent Denture Adhesive consists of two main components: Polyvinylacetate (PVA) and Carboxymthylcellulose (CMC). Polyvinylacetate is the adhesive. It works only on a dry surface to create the bonding effect (like chewing gum). To keep the mucosa dry, we use Carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) which works like a “sponge” to absorb moisture in the mouth. When the “sponge” is saturated with moisture, the mucosa becomes wet, Polyvinylacetate loses bonding effect and the denture stays in place only by suction (Saturation point). Now you can easily remove the dentures. All the non water-soluble residues of the adhesive will remain on the denture. Usually no adhesive is left on the mucosa. In case of some adhesive residues on the gum, rinse your mouth with warm water. Brush the denture under running water to remove food residues. To remove the non water-soluble residues of fittydent Denture Adhesive, fittydent Cleansing Tablets with pH 9 are needed. fittydent cleansing tablets guarantee an absolute clean denture.

fittydent Denture Adhesive is absolutely free of zinc.

The consistency of fittydent Denture Adhesive is related to temperature. fittydent Denture Adhesive should be kept at room temperature. If the tube is cold, it should be warmed in the hand for a short time before using.

Remove the protective foils on both sides of fittydent cushion. By bending you can form the cushion in a way that it matches the form of the denture.

fittydent Denture Adhesive gets dry in the tube which stays open or is not closed tightly. To avoid this problem, always close the tube tightly right after use and keep the nozzle clean!

Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose (CMC):

This ingredient derives from Cellulose. The CMC in fittydent Denture Adhesive derives from conifers of high quality.

Polyvinylacetate (PVA):

PVA is not water-soluble, not allergic and free of taste. Polyvinylacetate is a basic ingredient used in chewing gums.

You will feel the cushion only if it was not cut properly. The cushion must be cut as exactly as possible so that it fits the denture exactly.

Make sure that the cushions will be cut in the following way:

If the bonding effect has not lessened at the end of the day, simply leave dentures in the mouth overnight and brush them with a toothbrush like your own teeth. Apply less adhesive next day.

Yes, but an increased amount of fittydent Denture Adhesive should be used in this case. If the lower denture does not stay in place for one day, fittydent Denture Adhesive Cushions should be used instead.

fittydent Denture Adhesive Cushions were developed for denture wearers with excessive saliva and/ornarrow/flat lower jaw.

Yes. fittydent Denture Adhesive creates a strong bonding effect on dry surface. Therefore it works especially effective for denture wearers with dry mouth.

Since fittydent super Cleansing Tablets are alkaline ( pH 9), the metal parts of dentures will not be corroded. Therefore they are also highly recommended for cleansing partial dentures and orthodontic braces.

fittydent super Cleansing Tablets can remove plaque very well. (Stiftung Warentest 10/2011)

In this case, too much fittydent Denture Adhesive was applied on the denture. Apply less fittydent Denture Adhesive. Do not apply fittydent Denture Adhesive too close to the edge of the denture.

For sensitive gums, a mild tingling or burning sensation may be felt occasionally. It will pass by quickly and is absolutely harmless. To avoid the tingling or burning sensation, you can spread the adhesive to create a thin and even layer. Wait about 30 seconds before inserting the denture.
